Apparently we are going to announce new signings within days and are wanting to get all signings finished before the world cup starts.
One suggestion I've seen is Bafetimbi Gomis who's free and there were reports a week or two ago that Filip Djuricic's agent was meeting club officials.
The other possibilities are Gutierrez is coming back from loan and is therefor a new signing, R Taylor is fit again and is therefor a new signing or Shola's signed a new contract and is a new signing.
Or even more likely it's all rubbish and we'll be lucky to sign anyone.

Hi, I was on a train today from London St. Pancras to St. Albans and Joe Kinnear got on. He had just got off the Eurostar. Firt thing he did, loudly, was phone Alan (assume Pardew). When you leave St. Pancras you go under loads of bridges and then a long tunnel. He wasn't aware that he was in a tunnel (literally and metaphorically) and that his mobile connection was down but just kept talking loudly to Alan about the left winger he had just been to meet in France. He didn't say the player's name.
